HelpTips is a Help file that provides useful information for developers of HTML-based Help. I compiled the tips from various web sites and mailing lists.

arrow Download HelpTips as a 7-Zip file

You can get 7-Zip here

This zip file contains HelpTips.chm and whpopup.hlp. Extract these files into the same folder on your hard drive.

HelpTips also has links to web sites that can provide further information about specific topics.

The tips include:

  • Creating popup windows
  • Creating nonscrolling regions
  • Preventing users from copying your Help topics

To use these tips, you'll need only a basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and scripting.
